About Me
Hi, my name is Bobbie Normand and I am the Owner of Cadence Hair Co in Victoria, BC. As a Stylist of 20+ years, my training initially took place in Edmonton, AB at Estelle's Academy of Hair Design. There I have worked in a number of high end salons, as well as owned my own studio until 2013. My career in Victoria started at David Levi Salon and 5 years later, I moved on to chair rental to be my own boss. 2 years later, in 2020, I decided to open up my salon named Cadence Hair Co.
In all the years of styling I have had the opportunity to work with several retail and colour lines.
When it came to opening my own studio I made it my mission to have the best luxury products to offer. Sachajuan is a luxury brand from Sweden that I have been working with it for almost 2 years now. (You will find Cadence Hair Co listed on the Sachajaun store locator for Victoria.) I have chosen 2 main colour lines that I absolutely love, Kevin Murphy Color.ME and L'oreal INOA.

Having an interest in exclusivity, I have sought out 2 Canadian businesses to support and carry their lines in the Studio.
LaSeda Silk which is 100% Mulberry silk, offers pillowcases, scrunchies and face masks.
Haiku Lane Jewelry is a Maui inspired Canadian designed line with a beachy, classy, timeless vintage look.
I love living on the island, doing all kinds of Island things and meeting all kinds of beautiful people. Aside from Island exploring, I've made sure to keep my skills current as well as acquiring newer certifications in hair extensions.

My specialties include honesty in advising what style is or is not possible/cutting including sharp edgey cuts/all lengths of hair/colour/foils/balayage/natural curly hair and fine hair. Let's not forget caring for the health and condition of the scalp and hair. It's one of my favorite things to do. Scalp health and the integrity of the hair is my top priority.
In the beginning it was about learning the basics in a 2 year program, then learning from co-workers, bosses, hair shows, seminars, anywhere possible to gain skills and experience.
Now what I LOVE MOST about what I do, IS CHANGING THE WAY A PERSON FEELS.
It's amazing how much the way we feel inside can be affected whether we love or hate our hair. I love a challenge and it really means a lot to me when people feel great, gain confidence, or just need a change to re-invent their look. I care for each client and give 100% attention and effort towards helping them transform into their best version of themselves.
I have had so many amazing people in my chair, stories shared, one time moments or long term loyalty.......and that itself is quite special.
